Expert: Trump tries to cheat China by talking about “using steam” on carriers

Chinese military expert Zhang Zhaozhong, who was rumored head of “Strategic Fooyou Agency”, posted a miniblog on Weibo yesterday, saying that Donald Trump was trying to cheat China on issues of aircraft carriers.

According to report, Trump thinks that US Navy is trying to innovate too much, and he’s going to “order old-fashioned steam catapults be installed on new American aircraft carriers”.

But Zhang said it would cost more than a billion to redesign and reinstall steam catapults to replace electromagnetic launchers, which are obviously better.

According to Zhang, the only reason why Trump suddenly became interested in aircraft carriers and talked absurdly is that he was trying to fooyou (cheat) about this issue, as China has made great progress on electromagnetic aircraft launch system (EMALS), and is about to install it on its own aircraft carriers.
