No Chinese troops killed in India-China border clash: rumors

China’s Ministry of Defense officially confirmed on late Tuesday that there had been casualties in the Chinese army during the latest China-India violent clash in Ladakh, but did not reveal the exact number, while foreign media reported that there had been 20 Indians killed and 35 or 43 casualties in the Chinese army in violent clashes between China and India on June 15 and 16. But according to some messages circulating on several Chinese websites, no Chinese troops have died.

One typical unconfirmed and unidentified source, in the tone of a military officer, stated that:

“The roll call (of the Chinese side) is basically complete, three members of the team have been hit hard on the head with a rock, two are conscious, they have been stitched and the injuries are fine. One was in a coma, his head had been stitched up, and the medic said he was fine with a mild concussion and would wake up in 2 days. The other nine had traumatic injuries, and the Indian Curry Army would only beat with wooden sticks, and when the Chinese soldiers blocked the sticks with arms, their arm bones were slightly fractured. There is no need for surgery, an orthopedic military surgeon can just align it. There were no other fatalities.”

Other comments:

“According to domestic legend, five PLAs were lightly wounded. No one seriously injured and no one died. The battle is lopsided…But I’d still like to see the anti-Chinese dance a bit, it’s a comedy anyway.”

“20 Indian soldiers dead, dozens more believed to have been captured. It’s strange to be captured even when you fight with rocks. Hahaha…”

“The group fight lasted all night. Indians crossed the line to find fault with Chinese construction workers. The nearby PLA was notified and arrived quickly on the scene with maces to support them. Finally, at dawn, the PLA commander arrived with orders for the PLA to withdraw and allow the Indian soldiers to rescue. Many of the Indian soldiers lying on the ground were long out of breath. Probably froze to death from the injury. More than 20 deaths in all. Including the Indian major officer who commanded the Indian soldiers who came looking for a fight.”

“No Chinese troops died…The Chinese government hopes the incident to be cold-handled and not to announce numbers of casualties in the media.”

“40 dead!”
