J-10C fighters’ bright markings erased

The J-10C fighter aircraft equipped by the Chinese Air Force’s first fully-formed J-10 prototype unit have adopted a new-style low-visibility paint job, according to a program broadcast June 8 on China’s CCTV defense and military channel.

In the face of the increasingly serious situation in the Taiwan Strait and the relationship between China and the United States, preparation for war and fighting has become a drill objective for the Chinese military. According to the report, Gao Benchao, chief of staff of a brigade of the air force in the southern theater of China, who has experience in flying multiple types of aircraft such as J-7BHE, J-11BS and J-10 prototype AC, said that all the work done is to prepare for war and the only goal of preparing for war is to win.

The “Red Eagle Brigade” stationed on the ‘red soil plateau’ in the southwest of China is the first unit of the Chinese Air Force to be equipped with the J-10 prototype aircraft. According to the report, this unit is responsible for the “trial and error” and “break-in” tasks of the new J-10 fighter aircraft, and to test its performance in all areas of use. Over the past ten years, the J-10 has made many improvements in reliability and maintainability, all coming from the experience of this force.
