Four new PLA generals

The officers promoted to the rank of general this time are Southern Theater Commander Wang Xiubin, Western Theater Commander Xu Qiling, Army Commander Liu Zhenli, and Strategic Support Force Commander Ju Qiansheng.

Public information shows that Wang Xiubin was born in 1964 in Rudong, Nantong, Jiangsu. He was former deputy commander of the 31st Army, former deputy commander and commander of the 1st Army, commander of the 80th Army, and deputy commander and staff officer of the Eastern Theater Command. In October 2017, he was elected as an alternate member of the 19th Central Committee.

Xu Qiling was born in July 1962 in Huaiyang, Henan. He was the former Chief of Staff of the 54th Army, the Deputy Commander of the Central Theater Army, the Commander of the 79th Army, the Deputy Commander of the Eastern Theater and the Commander of the Eastern Theater Army. During the Sino-Indian confrontation, he was transferred to the western theater and served as deputy commander of the theater and commander of the theater army.

Liu Zhenli was born in August 1964 in Luancheng, Hebei. He used to serve as the former chief of staff and commander of the 65th Army, the former 38th Army commander, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Police Force, and the Chief of Staff of the Chinese Army. In October 2017, he was elected as a member of the 19th Central Committee. He has participated in the war against Vietnam and won several military exploits.
