The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage of Russian troops using ZTL-11 wheeled assault vehicles and ZBD-08 infantry fighting vehicles (also called ‘ZBD-04A’) for live-fire target practice, with the best gunner getting two watermelons.
The video shows static-to-static firing, while the Russian Defense Ministry’s report mentions sporting fire, saying that “despite little experience with foreign equipment, Russian servicemen hit most targets on the move”. Russian military fans are surprised by the 30mm sub-caliber decapitated armor-piercing rounds.
