China’s Eastern Theater Air Force gets new J-10C and J-16 fighters

China’s eastern theater air force has new weaponry again. Recently, nine J-7 fighters from a military airport in eastern Guangdong Province flew to an aviation academy to quit the combat sequence, and they will be replaced by the latest improved J-10C of J-10 fighters.

Chinese CCTV also reported on Nov. 21 that one of China’s main fighters, the J-16, has been equipped with a number of units, and as the first batch of units to have J-16s, a brigade of the Eastern Theater Air Force launched a five-year plan to train talents, giving priority to young pilots to train as instructors and sending them out to participate in various exercises and drills to improve mission experience.

A group of post-90s pilots set up a subject attack group, with the young pilots as team leaders, responsible for tackling key and difficult points in live ammunition shooting and flight training.
