Taiwan’s pro-green media, the Liberty Times, claimed on the 7th that PLA military aircraft have been intensively “harassing” Taiwan’s southwestern airspace recently, with three “harassments” this morning (7th), and have entered the southwestern airspace for 10 days in a row.

The report further speculated that the mainland Chinese military aircraft “harassed” again in the afternoon and was “driven away” by the Taiwan Air Force when a suspected PLA military aircraft with a mainland accent replied, “just surrender!”

The Free Times claimed that, according to the broadcast and track records, the PLA aircraft entered Taiwan’s “Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ)” (southwest airspace) again at 14:52 p.m. after three “harassments” this morning, at an altitude of 6,900 meters, and the Taiwan Air Force “alerted in the air” and “broadcast to drive away.” The report claimed that just after the broadcast, a PLA military plane replied, “just surrender!”

In the report, the media cited the record of the Facebook fan page of “Southwest Taiwan Airspace” that PLA military aircraft have entered Taiwan’s “airspace” for a total of seven days this month and seven days in 2022. Taiwan’s defense department has previously announced that PLA military aircraft have entered Taiwan’s “airspace” for a total of 5 days and 14 sorties in 2022.
