For ‘China’s Area 51’, Chinese expert says China also has right to develop secret weapons

A remote and mysterious airfield in northwestern China has been attracting experts in the field as countries scramble to develop new drones and next-generation advanced fighter jets, Russia’s Sputnik said on July 11, citing the U.S. “War Zone” website. The facility has also sparked new speculation that China may have established a facility equivalent to the U.S. “Area 51” that is being used to develop new drones and even sixth-generation fighter jets.

It was reported that a Chinese expert who wished to remain anonymous told the Global Times on the 12th that this is actually not the first time that the Western media has speculated about the so-called “Area 51” in China. Some areas in western China have been linked to the so-called Area 51 for no reason before.

The expert said that the Western media’s eagerness to speculate on the so-called Area 51 is nothing more than an excessive “concern” for China’s military development. For the Western media, they are unwilling to accept the fact that China’s military power is developing normally, and it is even more difficult for them to adapt psychologically, hoping to keep exaggerating the threat rhetoric through speculation, hypothesis and hype.

According to the expert, China has never officially acknowledged the existence of the so-called “Area 51”. Taking a step back, it is understandable that the Chinese develop and test equipment to protect their own national security on their own land. “Can only the Americans develop various mysterious models to maintain their hegemony and threaten global security?

It is suspected that China may be engaged in an artificial intelligence integration project, similar to the US’s next-generation autonomous drone combat intelligence platform “Skyborg.” In May, the United States conducted the first flight test of the drone “Skyborg”.
