Recently, the Chinese Air Force released the latest documentary, and the wide-known Chinese pilot Bai Long appeared again.

He has grown into an outstanding J-20 fighter pilot. According to his narrative, J-20 fighter has participated in China Air Force Red Sword systemic confrontation drill and played an important role in it.

Earlier, it was reported that soon after J-20 fighter entered service, it had participated in Red Sword systemic confrontation exercise. In the exercise, J-20 beat the opponents with a big score gap and showed an overwhelming advantage.

This time it should be the first time that the Chinese Air Force publicly announced that J-20 fighters participated in the Red Sword systemic confrontation exercise.

As the fifth-generation stealth fighter made in China, J-20 has advantages of strong stealth ability, advanced electronic equipment and great power of airborne weapons. It uses an integrated avionics system, high-speed broadband data link, can sense a wide range of battlefield situations, comprehensively process and display information, and provide assistant decision-making for pilot tactics. In order to let J-20 form a complete combat capability as soon as possible, and also let the active four-generation and four-generation semi-fighters experience the power of the five-generation stealth combat aircraft, J-20 fighters participated in the Red Sword systemic confrontation exercise soon after they entered service, and they smashed four and four generations of semi-fighter units. In fact, the US Air Force also participated in similar confrontation exercises after being equipped with F-22 and F-35 fighters and defeated the opponents with big score gap during the exercise.

Through such exercises, the forces experienced the advanced technological advantages and powerful combat power of the five-generation stealth fighters. The four-generation improved, fourth and half generation fighters and early warning aircraft formed an air combat system that could not withstand the impact of the five-generation stealth fighter. Judging from the experience of the Chinese and American air forces, the five-generation stealth fighters can raid high-value air targets such as early warning aircraft, aerial tankers, and electronic warfare aircraft with good stealth performance, thus weakening the opponent’s combat capability. Even if the fighters face each other, the five-generation stealth fighters can also use the stealth advantage to win in the over-the-horizon air battle. In many cases, the opposing pilot was shot down from where the attack came from. Even if the pilots who took the Tianying Cup and took 7 gold helmets twice in a row, they felt difficult to make a few moves in front of J-20 fighter.

On the whole, the Chinese Air Force’s fifth-generation combat system around J-20 stealth fighter is in full swing. This system has already begun to take shape and has taken the Chinese Air Force’s combat capability a big step forward. In the future, the Chinese Air Force will continue to expand the combat capability of J-20 fighter in both depth and breadth. It is widely speculated that the Chinese Air Force will realize the transition from the four-generation combat system to the five-generation combat system around 2030.

Chinese naval air carrier aircraft is said to have also selected J-20 as the fifth-generation stealth fighter for the navy. It will be equipped with a new generation of aircraft carriers. Therefore, the Air Force’s experience in building a fifth-generation combat system also provides reference for naval aviation, allowing naval aviation to prepare in advance, and J-20 can quickly form operational capabilities after it is installed, so that the naval carrier aircraft can also be invisible to the five generations. The fighter jet transitions, thus pushing the naval aircraft carrier formation capabilities to continue to move forward.
