The border contest between the Chinese and Indian armed forces is still continuing. While the Indian army is transporting supplies to the border to prepare for the winter, the latest exercise of China’s Y-20 transport planes has aroused public attention. In addition, some analysts pointed out that the Chinese Army needs to be wary of US-Indian military cooperation.

Chinese military media China Military Television reported on October 29 that a certain brigade of the Chinese Airborne Corps and the Air Force Air Force carried out an air-to-ground three-dimensional control exercise in the Northwest Desert. Multi-type formations, multi-equipment airdrops, multi-factor integration, and the reloading and airborne combat capabilities of the army’s integrated system and the global support capabilities have been tested.

In the footage released by the media, the Chinese Y-20 appeared. Since the location of the exercise was in northwestern China, The airdrop of the Y-20 formation is also alleged to be related to the situation in China and India as the exercise is in northwest China.

The current tensions on the Sino-Indian border continue, and both sides are stepping up the deployment of materials to meet the winter needs, and continue to strengthen the local military, according to analyst Bu Lan.

The Indian army has recently conducted a series of test launches of domestically-made weapons and equipment. Among them, the most targeted and deterrent weapon systems include surface-to-surface tactical ballistic missiles, air-to-surface anti-radiation missiles, and intrepid cruise missiles. During his recent visit to India, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated that the United States will stand with India. Reuters reported that the United States and India signed an agreement on the same day to share sensitive satellite and map data.

In this regard, analysts said that China needs to be vigilant. This is because as long as the Indian cruise missile technology passes the test, with the support of the US GPS military code and real-time satellite maps, it can carry out a “preemptive strike” precision strike against the PLA. In response to this incident, the Chinese Embassy in India emphasized that the Sino-Indian conflict does not require a third party to intervene.

According to the latest news, the Indian army is carrying out a large-scale transportation of supplies in eastern Ladakh to ensure that the Indian army is fully prepared for the harsh winter in the cold, food and accommodation under field conditions.

In response to the severe test of the harsh winter at the border, the Chinese military has also made continuous moves. On October 27, the Chinese Communist Military Commission’s official newspaper “Liberation Army Daily” reported that an army aviation brigade of the Tibet Military Region sent a helicopter to transport nearly 25 tons of winter supplies to the frontline checkpoint.

Prior to this, in early October, a new type of dismountable self-powered thermal insulation shelter consisting of 7 modules including dormitories, canteens, integrated toilets, dry self-cleaning toilets, warehouses, microgrids, and heating equipment was also officially settled on the PLA Plateau.

In addition, the Chinese Army is equipped with new patrol equipment that can meet the protection needs of the plateau environment, including cold-proof hoods, warm training clothes, lightweight cold-proof warm training coats, moisture-absorbing and quick-drying underwear, warm fleece pants, and multi-functional thermal water bottles.

During this period of time, the various measures taken by the Chinese Army have also meant that they are well prepared for a protracted war.
