According to the Chinese military magazine “Ordnance Science and Technology”, the aerial self-guided deep bomb in this photo is a new type of equipment specially developed for the Y-9 anti-submarine patrol aircraft.
According to analysis, a large number of Y-9 anti-submarine patrol aircraft have been built and installed in parallel with the Chinese Navy in recent years, which has played a pivotal role in enhancing the Chinese army’s anti-submarine combat capabilities. In addition to advanced submarine detection equipment, its attack submarine means are also very powerful.
The belly is equipped with a large bomb bay, which can mount anti-submarine torpedoes, mines, anti-submarine deep bombs, and other anti-submarine weapons. After the underwater submarine is locked, the corresponding weapons can be launched to attack, which realizes the “integration of reconnaissance and attack.” The new self-guided deep bomb equipment makes the Y-9 anti-submarine patrol aircraft even more powerful.
