On the evening of February 3, Beijing time, CCTV’s “Military Report” reported that a vehicle transport regiment of the Chinese Army (PLA) was transporting new special needs and festive food to troops stationed in the Karakoram frontier defense line. In the video, China’s Type 99A main battle tanks and Type 04A infantry fighting vehicles appeared there.
According to the report, in order to let the soldiers stationed in the frontier have a festive meal, as well as a joyful and warm Spring Festival, a transport regiment of Xinjiang Military Region spent 5 days traveling nearly more than 1000 kilometers over the snowy mountains of Darshan, to deliver special holiday party foods to the training troops stationed on the plateau.
The Karakoram Range is an important demarcation line in the western section of the China-India border, while ZTZ-99A main battle tank and ZBD-04A infantry fighting vehicle are the backbone equipment of the Chinese Army’s heavy mechanized composite brigade. Their presence along the border in the Karakoram indicates the plateau combat equipment of the Chinese army’s border defense force has been comprehensively upgraded.
