China’s Liaoning aircraft carrier recently led six ships, including Type 055 “Nanchang” destroyer, across the main island of Okinawa and Miyako Island, heading south to the Pacific Ocean for military training.
Japan’s Kyodo News released a photo of the Liaoning aircraft carrier taken by Japan’s Self-Defense Forces, prompting Chinese military fans to exclaim: It looks like a monster! In contrast, the Liaoning aircraft carrier photographed by Xinhua News Agency is considered to be more like a 100,000-ton fishing boat.
