A cartoon picture recently released by China Aviation Industry Corporation’s Weibo account @航空工业 has caused heated discussions among Chinese military fans. The Y-20 in the picture has four sturdy “wine barrels” installed under the wings, which is thought to imply that the transport aircraft has been replaced with engines with a larger bypass ratio.
Earlier, there were photos showing that the Y-20 transport plane with China’s homemade WS-20 engines was in a test flight, and this model was presumed to be Y-20B.
