On the morning of July 24th local time, the State Council Information Office of China published a white paper entitled “China’s National Defense in the New Era.” For the first time in the white paper, the PLA’s main battle equipment were formally written.
These main combat weapons include Type 15 tank, 052D destroyer, J-20 fighter, and DF-26 medium-range ballistic missile, which represent main battle equipment of PLA’s land, sea, air and rocket forces.
“Increase the elimination of old equipment and gradually form a weaponry and equipment system with high-tech equipment as the backbone,” said the white paper.
Since the equipment are written into the national defense white paper as representative weapons of various services, they have formed combat effectiveness and comprehensive training in actual combat.
It’s commented that these major battle weapons are China’s independent innovations and are at the global leading level in overall design and related new technologies.
“They will further enhance PLA’s comprehensive operational capabilities and help PLA to better shoulder the sacred mission of safeguarding national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.”
