According to the official WeChat account of the Chinese Ministry of Defense Information Bureau, Wu Qian, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, released the news that according to the consensus reached at the ninth round of military commander-level talks between China and India, the first-line troops of the two sides located on the southern and northern shores of Pangong Lake began to organize disengagement in a synchronized manner on Feb. 10.

In response, Chinese netizens generally said that Indians should not be trusted, for fear that the Chinese army will be cheated, and that this is only a stopgap measure made by India in the domestic pressure of the pandemic and unrest.

Among Chinese people, Indians are generally considered unreasonable and incomprehensible. Even Mao Zedong admitted before the 1962 Sino-Indian war that he had “thought about it for 10 days and 10 nights, but could not figure out why Jawaharlal Nehru had to mess with China”.

There have been several rounds of talks since violent clashes broke out between Chinese and Indian border troops in June last year, but no substantive progress has been made until this time. Both sides have been sending more troops to the front lines of the standoff.

India has a history of land grab because it has imperialist ambitions. The country is a British Raj wannabe. Subsequent land grab of India includes Sikkim, Ladakh, part of Bhutan, and most recently part of Nepal.
