According to the report, the training was carried out by a tank unit of a certain brigade of the 81st Army. The 155mm self-propelled howitzers of the Army had recently conducted actual combat training on the Tibetan Plateau to deter India.
The Type 99A tank was reported to have appeared on the front line of the confrontation between China and India in February and demonstrated its excellent maneuverability in the plateau environment at the last moment of the withdrawal of troops from China and India.
It is also reported that the troops in this report were equipped with Type 99A main battle tanks by 2018 at the latest, and received a batch of new Type 99A tanks in July last year.
