A video of the Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning conducting carrier-based flight training in the South China Sea has recently circulated on Chinese social media.
The video, posted by a U.S. Navy Seventh Fleet soldier, shows a J-15 carrier aircraft landing smoothly on the Liaoning aircraft carrier, drawing the awe of the U.S. Navy soldiers at the scene. Not far from the Liaoning, the Type 052D destroyer Chengdu and the Type 055 destroyer Nanchang were also on escort duty, one after the other.
It is reported that the soldier has been “tracking” Chinese aircraft carrier formation in the South China Sea, and he expressed hope that the Chinese Navy would not take “surprise action” against Taiwan.
