Regarding the PLA military training work in the first half of 2021, Ren Guoqiang, spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense of China, disclosed the relevant situation.
At a regular press conference held by the Ministry of National Defense of China on June 24, Ren Guoqiang said:
Compared with the same period in the previous year, the PLA’s ammunition consumption has increased significantly, and the proportion of training in difficult subjects has continued to increase.
The services and arms highlighted major and difficult issues and completed more than 100 tactical-level joint action exercises.
In line with the requirements of being ready to fight at all times and being ready to fight at all times, we will continue to intensify targeted training in responding to real security threats in all directions and in all fields, and vigorously carry out front-line military combat training.
