ZTZ-99A Tank is China’s king of land battle, but according to 99A tank’s general designer Mao Ming, this Chinese type of main battle tank is not stable, with low reliability.
CCTV’s recent program also unveiled that during rehearsals the 9/3 V-Day Parade in Beijing, ZTZ-99A Tank’s failure rate reached 210 times, the highest among all the weapons for the parade.
According to the report, the most concerned power system – engine of ZTZ-99A Tank was not the biggest problem, instead, its air hydraulic pressure and electronic system failed most.
