Analyst in China says YJ-12 and YJ-100 have very powerful anti-ship cruise missile, about 400-500 kilograms, and one missile could paralyze a 10,000-ton warship.
These two missiles are called anti-ship duo of China. YJ-12 features high speed, mach 3 for range of 300 kilometers and mach 4 for 400 kilometers. It can lower its height in the final stage for stealthy penetration.
And YJ-100 features long range – 800 kilometers, it can attack large water surface targets like aircraft carriers beyond visual range.
Some analysts think YJ-12 will be equipped with H-6K jet bomber and JH-7B fighter-bomber, the stealth version of JH-7, while YJ-100 could be used on Type 055 destroyer in the future, which has two Vertical Launching Systems in the front and rear, each has 64 launchers.
